Komplettes Fussballstadion „Heinz von Heiden Arena“ (Niedersachsenstadion)


Wahrscheinlich ist es das erste Stadion dieser Größe auf der Welt, das komplett erfasst wurde. Bei einer Größe von ca. 60.000qm und mehr als 3.000 Scanpunkte bringt diese Tour die Matterport-Technik schon nah an die Grenzen des Machbaren. Es braucht z.B. ca. 45 Sekunden bis der Rundgang fertig gestartet ist, aber es lohnt sich zu warten. Wenn man das Menü nutzt um sich durch das Stadion zu navigieren, klappt das trotzdem sehr flüssig. Die 360-Grad Drohnenaufnahme im Menü erlaubt zusätzlich das Probesitzen in fast jedem Block.

Früher war das damalige Niedersachsenstadion das zweitgrößte Stadion in Deutschland (1950 für ca 86.500 Zuschauer), das auf dem Trümmerschutt des 2. Weltkrieges aufgebaut wurde. Nach vielen Umbauten ist es seit 2005 unverändert das Stadion, das Du im Rundgang erleben kannst, lediglich der Stadionname hat sich in den 20 Jahren mehrmals geändert.
Durch die vielen Umbauten und die Teilnahme an der Fussball Weltmeisterschaft 2006 ist die Kapazität mittlerweile auf ca 49.000 reduziert worden. Neben Fußball gab es in diesem Stadion auch schon Rugby, Football, Eishockey und viele Mega-Musikkonzerte!

Die genaue Dauer ist schwierig zu definieren, da es unser 1. Stadion in dieser Größe war und wir vieles getestet haben, um unseren Workflow für zukünftige Stadionaufträge zu optimieren. Während dieser Zeit wechselten zudem auch noch 8 Sponsoren, die Beleuchtung im Haupttreppenhaus bekam ein neues, mehrfarbiges Design, der Spielerbereich wurde umgestaltet und wir haben deswegen einige Bereiche nachträglich austauschen müssen.

(Stadien sind eine Herausforderung für Matterport, da die vielen Sitzplätze über so große Flächen technisch schwer zu verarbeiten sind)

Status:
Es ist noch nicht perfekt und deswegen werden wir in den nächsten Wochen noch einige Optimierungen vornehmen und den Bereich um das Stadion vervollständigen, aber die Version für die Clubhomepage ist fertig und wird im April 2025 veröffentlicht!

It is probably the first stadium of this size in the world to be completely scanned. With a size of approx. 60,000 square meters and more than 3,000 scanning points, this tour brings Matterport technology close to the limits of what is possible. Because of that it takes longer, roughly 45 seconds, for the tour to start, but we promise it's worth the wait. If you use the menu to navigate through the stadium, it still works very smoothly. The 360-degree drone recording in the menu also allows you to test sit in almost every block.

The „Niedersachsenstadion“ used to be the second largest stadium in Germany (with around 86,500 seats for spectators in 1950), which was built on the rubble of the Second World War. After many renovations, the stadium that you can experience in the tour today, has remained unchanged since 2005, only the stadium name has changed several times in the 20 years.
Due to the many renovations and participation in the 2006 Soccer World Cup, the capacity has now been reduced to around 49,000 seats. In addition to football, this stadium has also hosted rugby, football, ice hockey and many mega music concerts!

Duration: approx. 240 hours. (spread over various days!)
The exact duration is difficult to define because it was our first stadium of this size and we tested a lot to optimize our workflow for future stadium orders. During this time, 8 sponsors changed, the lighting in the main staircase got a new, multi-colored design, the players' area was redesigned and we therefore had to subsequently replace some areas.

Status:
It's not perfect yet and that's why we'll be making some optimizations and completing the area around the stadium in the next few weeks, but the version for the club homepage is ready and will be published in April 2025!
