Inclusive Coastal Digital Twin of Calella

Entry Description

This coastal digital twin of Calella was created to provide clear and visual information for people with reduced mobility before visiting the beach.

Developed for the Calella City Council, the project allows users to understand in advance which areas are accessible and which are not, supporting better visit planning. Through an interactive aerial panorama, 3D scanning, and immersive 360° content, the project connects an accessible urban beach with Cala Roca Grossa, whose physical access is only possible via stairs.

Cala Roca Grossa is documented so that people who cannot access it physically can still explore it and learn about the site through the virtual environment, including the opportunity to observe the marine life through immersive 360° audiovisual content captured underwater.
